To participate in the NSE 2024 Startup Competition, the following requirements are needed. The candidates have to:

  • Have an MVP or working prototype of the product or service;
  • Be in a pre-seed funding stage or higher;
  • Count on a dedicated and competent Team;
  • Operate in technology and innovation sectors connected with the Space Economy;
  • Have been selected for an incubation and/or acceleration program focused on Space Economy or Deep Tech (this is considered a preferential requirement – ongoing or Alumni).

1. What is the NSE Pitch Competition?

It is a new event, organized with the technical support of ASI – the Italian Space Agency, within the framework of NSE 2024, where startups, industry experts, and international speakers are protagonists within a contest dedicated to innovative startups.

2. How can I participate?

By following the link below, you can fill out the registration form. Once the form is completed and sent to the NSE 2024 staff, you will be contacted by a representative from the event giving assistance to the participants before and during NSE 2024.

3. Which startups can participate?

Startups wishing to participate in the NSE Pitch Competition and in the contest must operate in the technology and innovation sectors related to Space Economy, to be in a pre-seed, seed, early stage, Round A, or Round B funding stage, must have at least an MVP or a prototype, and have an office or headquarters in Italy.

4. How are startups selected?

The Technical  Evaluation Team responsible for selecting startups, formed by NSE 2024 industry experts and partners, will select the startups judged most suitable for the event and the final contest.

5. What is the deadline for submitting the registration form?

Startups wishing to participate can submit the registration form, downloadable from the website, starting from October 31, 2024. Final deadline for submitting the completed forms is November 28, 2024.

6. When will the eligible startups be announced?

The 10 startups considered eligible for the contest will be notified by December 6, 2024.

7. How does the contest work?

On December 17, starting at 5:00 PM, the startups will take turns on stage, with 7 minutes to pitch their ideas. The NSE 2024 Technical Evaluation Team will assess the presentations and compare their evaluations to determine and announce the contest winner.

8. What is the prize?

The prize will be awarded by NSE – New Space Economy 2024 and will be an amount of €10,000. Only the first-place winner will be entitled to receive the prize. Furthermore, there will be a Special Prize of €100k in credits to be used on amazon web services, this prize is assegned by AWS at its discretion to one of the 10 finalist startups.

9. Benefits for selected startups.

The selected startups will have free space in dedicated expo area during the event, receiving a refund/reimbursement for their participation up to €500,00. Hence, they take advantage of a unique opportunity to introduce their projects to investors, partners, and the media; in addition to that, they have the possibility to participate in investor meetings and in the B2B activities of NSE 2024.
